Guiding moms and kids to get to the root cause so you can bloom
Root to Bloom (at the time Kathryn Moulison Physical Therapy) started in 2020. After over a decade teaching yoga and working as a physical therapist, I completed a prenatal yoga teacher training during my own pregnancy in 2021. I fell instantly in love with teaching prenatal yoga. I had the ability to connect with and support those going through such a tremendous life change. It was both an honor, and a joy.
Soon after my son was born in December of 2021, the first role I returned to was teaching prenatal yoga. Then it expanded to Baby and Me Yoga classes, where I was supporting new parents as they returned to movement. I’ve since grown the Root to Bloom classes to include Babies on the Move and Family Yoga.
During that same time period I continued to expand my physical therapy practice to move fully into pelvic floor physical therapy, to be able to support moms to stay calm, strong, mobile, and leak free in pregnancy and beyond.
Pee, poop, and sex are taboo topics - and yet if there is dysfunction it impacts every aspect of life. Pelvic health is truly whole self health.
Root to Bloom is here to get to the root cause of your symptoms, to allow you to bloom - remaining symptom free and thriving in all aspects of your life.
In 2024, I opened up the pediatric aspect of my practice. I can’t say kids don’t love talking about pee and poop - but I can say that many of them are suffering with constipation, leaking, and bedwetting. That can impact every aspect of their life (and yours as their caregiver!)
I am here for you. It is my passion and goal to support you through the wild journey that is pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood.
It has always been the mission of Root to Bloom to be able to support you and your children to be able to bloom, so you can thrive in life and find joy in the things you love.
Over the years clients had told me things like “you have such a calming presence” “you help me feel heard” and “why am I even talking to you about (insert “taboo” topic here), I never talk about it” I pride myself on creating a non judgmental, calming environment for you to get support
I live in North Reading Massachusetts with my husband, Mike, my two rescue dogs Maggie and Sunny, and my son who was born in December 2021. When I’m not chasing a toddler or working, I enjoy cooking and making sourdough bread, and volunteering with Bark n’ Rolls Rock*n Rescue.
